Elevated tiny house plans

Elevated tiny house plans are popular among our tiny house designs and Sheena is definitely one of them. This beautiful house on piers is basically a one room timber structure with its long front façade made entirely of glass. It consists of full height glass doors opening to roofed and fenced front porch. So the main room is full of light and has amazing views. In case of warm weather, you can basically open the entire wall and the room and front porch will merge into one big pleasant space. Whether you will read a book, catch up on some work, have a cup of tea or a romantic dinner, everything will be enjoyable here. The back wall of the house is used for bathroom, kitchenette with small cabinets and a little storage room, so that you do not miss anything you need and can enjoy even longer stays here, making this tiny house on piers ideal getaway spot.

Sheena, named after famous Pin-up girl Sheena Easton, is a simple timber frame structure, which stands elevated on concrete pillar foundations and concrete footings. Little steps lead to the main entrance on the side, which will bring you directly to the center of the tiny house. All amenities are alongside the back wall, leaving very generous space to the rest of the room. You can put a bed in there and still have lot of place to enjoy your everyday activities or hangout with friends or family. We recommend using minimalistic style of furniture, something like Japanese style tea room, so that the space is not overwhelmed and you can properly enjoy your moment of relaxation. If Sheena is not exactly what you have been dreaming of, we have many more types of elevated tiny house plans or houses with porch or loft, so have a look. All of our contemporary small house plans are easy to build and come with detailed instructions and dimensions.

Which of the tiny house plans, especially out of Sheena, Alexis and Bessie, could be made mobile the easiest?

Hi Joshua, I live in Australia and would need the plans in metric. Also, what is the roof and wall cladding of the Sheena made of?
Can we use a different stump system?

1 year 10 months ago

I provide plans in metric too. Wall cladding is average board decking and the roof is made of asphalt sheets. Of course, you can use many types of foundation- I describe all the options in my new book “How to build a tiny house”.

Hi there
I have been made project manager of some students (with minor disabilities) to build a(1) tiny pallet house (hopefully for the homeless). The only materials we have so far are the normal pallets. We may be able to get some almond pallets which are around 7′ (I think) tall; which means we can save on the outside timbers and maybe some of the framing timbers. I know you are trying to run a business but is it possible to get to use the Cheryle plan for free, for this venture. If anything comes of this and we can progress to a steady contribution of timber/s I will be happy to buy it from you and send regular photos and updates for your website thanking you for aiding the more less fortunate than yourself.
